`Thamisra` is a Sanskrit word that refers to a punishment in `Garuda Purana` but the same word is also having translation of `Kattalu, darkness` in the dictionary. So is it a punishment in darkness. From the trailer watched at Renukamba Digital theatre it was known that the film `Thamisra` is horror film.

What punishment is debutant director Prakash Haasan is dealing in the film you have to see on the silver screen! Shiva has written the story in 2009 and it is coming up on screen today.
